With a strong balance of color and shape David Goetze creates figures, abstracts, and still-lifes that draw from the modern disciplines of a few contemporary movements. With an almost cubist approach Goetze breaks down the subject matter accentuating rich colors and significant form to capture the suggest mood of the body.

Even in his non-objective abstract work, color and shape take an almost suggestive impression of the organic form. With a scholarship to the Ringling School of Art and Design in 1989, and further education at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Goetze began to build his foundation of paintings that today show in galleries across the USA.
