"Jim Freeman's oils present fantastical landscape views so precisely and vividly rendered as to resemble surreal hallucinations," Edward Sozanski; Philadelphia Inquirer. In fact, dreams are a large source of inspiration for this artist. This highly skilled painter received his B.F.A. from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Freeman is a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club, Artsbridge, and has been featured in Doris Brandes book, Artists of the River Towns. Mr. Freeman's paintings have garnered much attention in the last couple years from collectors, writers, and show curators. Among such distinctions are Woodmere Museum Annual Juried Show, New Hope School Award for Oil Painting, Phillip's Mill, David Rago Auction Gallery Exhibit Award, in Honor of Peggy Lewis. |
